Personal accident insurance and indemnity arrangements

(1) Before going on a river guide or worker's trip with a river guide or a worker, a licensed cruise operator must obtain a personal accident insurance of at least two lakh rupees for the entire duration of the cruise from an insurance company licensed to conduct insurance business in Nepal.
(2) In case of accident or death of the insured person according to sub-rule (1), it is the responsibility of the concerned cruise operator to pay the amount to be received by the insured person from the insurance company, to him or to any person he wishes, if there is no such person, to his next of kin. will be.
(3) In the event of an accident or death of a person required to be insured in accordance with sub-rule (1) in the event of an accident or death, the concerned boat operator shall pay compensation equal to the amount of the insurance as per sub-rule (1) to the concerned person and in case of his/her death, he/she shall The desired person and if there is no such person, it should be provided to his next of kin.
(4) If a river guide or other worker is employed without insurance as per sub-rule (2), the ministry may impose a fine of up to five thousand rupees.
(5) If a worker accompanying the cruise team sustains minor injuries during the cruise, the cruise operator shall provide necessary medical treatment to such person at his own expense.
